Dr. Proffitt is a cybersecurity leader and published author with over 28 years of experience in the technology field. Tim has earned more than 25 industry certifications and has experience in all manner of technology security, infrastructure, forensics, compliance, risk management and security awareness. His current research interest focuses on disaster recovery, malicious insiders and digital forensics. Dr. Proffitt holds a Ph.D. in information systems management, an M.S. in information security from SANS.edu and a B.S. in computer sciences from SHSU.edu. He is a certified information systems security professional (CISSP). He also holds the following certifications: GSEC, GCIH, GSLC, GLEG, GCPM, GSNA, G7799, GWAPT, GCIA, GCFE, GCFA, ACE, MCSE 2K, MCSE NT, CCSA, NNCDE, NNCSE, NNCSE, NNCDS, NNCSS, NNCAS, NICE, APS, NCA, A+, N+, Sec+, NFAC.
